The season 2002/3 was almost a rerun of the previous one. Due to a contraction and rearrangement of the league, no fewer than 6 of the teams in the last year's division 3 were placed in division 2 and so we found ourselves playing lots of old friends. New arrivals this season were Shane and Jackie - both good to have in the team.

We managed to share the points over two matches with local rivals the Croham B (formerly the Earl of Eldon), and won 11 out of 17 played.

However, this season strikes me as one of "might have beens" and missed doubles. Away to the Croham we missed 16 throws at doubles over 5 legs - which could have turned a 6-9 defeat into a 11-4 victory, and at the 'Moon we slipped from 4-3 up to concede the game 4-11!

However, it was "as you were" with the View finishing in 3rd place and earning another promotion.

Big John saved us some trophy money by being top average, most gameshots, and highest gameshot. He also surpassed his previous best with 63 tons out of 300 throws - not bad eh!
